HAED Rotation

I AM SOOOOO WEAK

Please don't judge me. Sometimes they just yell so loudly that I can't hear myself think. I am adding a 3rd project to my rotation. This will be joining Afternoon Tea and the Universe in a Jar.
It was in the basement, in a closet and I could still hear it yelling at me.

Oh well. What's one more.

Happy Stitching everyone.

OH MY 3 WEEKS ALREADY

Time does fly this time of year. I have made progress on Afternoon Tea. Last time it looked like this

And now it looks like this

I have been alternating it with The Universe in a Jar so not getting as bored with it. This is where I am on Universe.

Hopefully will have much more progress by the next update on both pieces.

Please make sure to check out all of the great projects my SAL mates are working on. There are some seriously talented people in this SAL.

I'm off to watch football and stitch. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

IT IS DEFINITELY WINTER IN MONTANA

I love where I live and would not want to live anywhere else. This year though winter came early. We have had snow at least once a week or so since September 25. The total so far for Great Falls is 55 inches. Our normal yearly total is 63.5 inches. I'd say we are going to have a record breaking year as winter has not even officially started yet. This is the snow from the latest storm.

I have been putting the hibernating time to good use. I have made progress on The Universe in a Jar and on Afternoon Tea.

Time to go stitch now.
Happy Stitching everyone.

I FOUND IT. SAL TIME AGAIN. AND OTHER THINGS.

I knew the correct project was out there somewhere & about 2 weeks ago I found it. It is a UFO that I started several years ago then put away. Now it is back out and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

This is what it looked like when I got it out.

I am now working from the bottom up. For some reason I hate stitching down. Go figure.
Here is where it is now. I decided to sort of outline the current page. We'll see how that works. I would like to have a page finish by the end of the year but won't hold my breath.

I also have a non stitchy finish. I also do diamond painting and finished this one last week.

I have started another one.

And last but not least I have also been knitting. I usually knit at knit group as it is the most portable hobby.

Well I have rambled on for long enough. Please make sure to go over and look at the wonderful projects the other members of this SAL are working on.

Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Jenny, Carmela, Jocelyn, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, Connie

I'll leave you with this picture of my Christmas Cactus. It is on a roll this year

FOCUS FAIL SAL UPDATE.

And again I have failed. I lost all interest in The Astronomer and wasn't stitching so I put him away looking like this

Then I decided to pull out Play Ball HAED Randal Spangler and work on that while I watched the World Series. Got some good progress but the the flitter bug hit again and I put that away looking like this.

While wandering through my huge stash of started HAED's I happened upon this one and it really yelled at me so out it came. I have been stitching on it now for two days and have made some good progress. I just wish I could stick with a project like you guys do. Oh well it is what it is and they all get some love.

So again I'm not promising that I will be able to stick with this but I will give it a good try. One of these days I'll hit on the ONE. Someone at one time told me that I am a process stitcher and that is why I don't get finishes. I like the stitching but not the finish.

Please make sure to check out the other talented stitchers I am doing this SAL with. They do amazing work and they even manage to stick with a project and get it done. Also we are welcoming Connie back to the SAL after a short break.

TIME FOR ANOTHER SAL UPDATE.

He he I've been good this time and spent the entire 3 weeks since the last update on The Astronomer.
We have had 2 huge snow storms in that 3 week period so lots of stitching time. When you last saw him he looked like this.

He has grown some since then. After 2 weeks he was up to here.

Since I was slowing down in this area because of all the confetti and when I slow down I sometimes get bored and stop stitching I move to another section that is large areas of one color. That put me back on track.
When I move the q snap this is what the section I picked looked like.

Back on track stitching a lot everyday. Now it looks like this.

I am quite pleased with my progress and hope to get a lot more done in the next 3 weeks. Fingers crossed.

I am doing this SAL with some very talented stitchers so please pop over to their blogs to see the stitchy goodness they are working on. Till next time HAPPY STITCHING.

WHERE DID SEPTEMBER GO

It's that time again. Update for the  SAL I am doing with a bunch of really talented stitchers. We all do our own thing so be sure to check out the others in the link below this post. You will be amazed at the talent of these ladies.

Back to update. You know me flit here and flit there. I put The Universe in a Jar away after the last update. Just wasn't keeping my interest. But I did pull out my oldest HAED WIP/UFO The Astronomer and I have been obsessed with it. I started this one way back in 2010 and have decided I would like to finish it by the end of 2020. Wish me luck. You all know my attention span. LOL. This is also the first HAED I ever started.

Here it is when I started 3 weeks ago.

And here is where I am today.

I moved the q snap today and will be starting here when I am done with this update.

Hopefully I will have most of this filled in by the next update in October.

Have a wonderful stitchy 3 weeks and will see you then.

Also want to say welcome to Susan and Anne who have recently joined us.

SEPTEMBER ALREADY.

Can't say I'm sorry that it is September. Fall is my favorite season of the year. Next favorite season is Winter. Can you tell  I don't like hot weather. LOL.

I actually managed to stitch on The Universe in a Jar for the last 3 weeks. Made some good progress.
Here's what you saw last time.

And here is where he is now.

I hope to make more progress before the next update.

I have also been diamond painting but don't have a current photo.

Please visit the other members of the SAL to see the awesome projects they are working on.

NEXT UP.

My next diamond painting came today. He is so gorgeous.

Can't wait to start him but I'm being good and finishing a diamond painting UFO first.

Only have a little bit to go.

NEW CRAFT.

I have added a new craft to the repertoire. I discovered diamond painting and I love it. I am pleased to announce that I have finished my first painting and I am totally in love with it.

If you haven't tried it yet I would recommend giving it a try. It is faster than cross stitch and so beautiful. The picture does not show how much is sparkles.

Now back to regularly scheduled cross stitch. I am working on Draggin in the Morning by HAED. Randal Spangler. This is today's starting point.

That's all for now. Craft on everyone.

OOPSY.

I am so bad. Totally missed the last check in. Sorry about that. But not much progress to show as I lost interest in the project really fast.  I have been having a bit of squirrel lately and can't settle on a project for more than a couple of days it seems. Still I am making progress on many things. Not exactly my SAL project but here is what I've been up too.

I did manage a little bit on The Universe in a Jar but I don't know if it is noticeable.

Then these came out to play.

And finally the one that is now my obsession.

Hopefully I will be able to focus on this one for awhile.

There are a whole group of ladies in this SAL with me that are much better at focusing than I am. Be sure to go check out their wonderful projects.
Till next time.
Happy stitching and hopefully no "oh look a squirrel".
