SUNDAY SAL UPDATE

As I stated last time I wanted to finish the section I was working on in The Universe in a Jar. Happy to say I was able to finish it. This is what it looked like last time.
Here is where it is now.

Unfortunately it is retiring for now. I have a wedding sampler that I really need to focus on for my son Matt and his new bride Stephanie. They got married in Sept 2020 and I started it then but I really want to finish it before they have been married 20 years so time to make it my focus.

Till next time. Happy Stitching.

IT'S GNOMES

Since I finished Virus Detected I decided to start another diamond painting project. This one is called Christmas Gnomes Trio from Diamond Art Club. They are so cute. Don't think I'll be done by Christmas but hey whenever.
Stay safe and warm everyone.

TIME TO PULL OUT AN OLDIE

Time to put some stitches in. I have a tentative plan for 2022 running around in my head. I know I shouldn't make firm plans but may try it again.
If I do work out a plan this will be one of the pieces that will get more time next year. I started this in 2010. It was the 1st HAED I ever bought. I was loving it and then I found Randal Spanglers draglings and well you know the rest. This deserves some quality time.

This is one of my other hobbies.

AND JUST LIKE THAT

it's SAL time again. I have been stitching the past 3 weeks but I have been moving around on the piece. One of the reasons I like these big projects is that if I get bored with where I'm stitching I can move around. This time I remembered to take pictures as I moved the q snap.

This is where you saw it last time.

Then it progressed to here.

And this is where it is now.

Hopefully I can fill in this space in the next 3 weeks. Fingers crossed as my stitch bug is still off and on.

I am doing this SAL with a very talented group of ladies. Please go to their blogs to see the stitchy goodness they are sharing.

Till next time happy stitching everyone.

AND WE HAVE A NEW START

I know I know the last thing I need is a new start but this one is different. Yes it is full coverage (HAED) and will take forever but I just had to start it. It was just meant to be. This is the story behind this start.

HAED was having a 50% off sale so of course I had to see if Randal Spangler had anything new. As I was scrolling down the artist page the cover photo for this artist caught my eye. I really thought I had not seen any of his work before. His name is Jeff Haynie and he does wonder cat art. The chart that caught my eye was this one.

That face. Of course it is a face I see everyday as it looks just like my grand-kitty Gomez.

I immediately bought the pattern and found that I had the fabric and the floss to start it.

I started it on 11/7/2021. This was the first days progress.

I continued with it on 11/8/2021 and this is my progress then

I like the fact that this background is not all confetti stitching like some of the full coverage pieces I have going. Lots more of this color to go.

I plan on alternating this with The Universe in a Jar so will work on it every other day.

Both pieces are for my youngest daughter who is also Gomez's mom.

SAL UPDATE--HE'S BAAAAACK

I'm so happy to be able to report that Bennie the stitch bug has returned. He must have gotten lots of rest because he is very busy and bossy. LOL.

Last time you saw The Universe in a Jar it was here.

Now it has progressed to here.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep my focus but that isn't guaranteed.

One thing that is motivating me on this piece is the fact that on 11/27 it will be exactly 10 years old.

I am doing this SAL with a whole group of very talented and diverse stitchers. We each work on our own pieces. Please stop by their blogs to see the wonder projects they have going

Until the next update in 3 weeks HAPPY STITCHING.

I KNOW I'VE SAID IT BEFORE BUT

I'm referring to the fact that I can't seem to follow through with posting on here more often than every 3 weeks on SAL Sunday. I am going to try to do better. Hopefully I won't bore you to tears. LOL.

I have taken kind of a break from full coverage for the past couple of weeks. Did a lot of diamond painting and then I was grabbed by a non full coverage piece that I started back in 2019. It just kind of jumped into my lap and now I am obsessed with it.

Meet Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow by Carriage House Samplings.

I have been stitching steadily on this every day since I picked it up on 10//24/2021. It took me 2 years to finish Dracula.

And only 6 days to finish Frankenstein.

Next up is The Mummy. We'll see how long he takes.

It is now perfect stitching weather here in Montana. Cold and with a chance of snow.

Hope everyone is stitching a lot.

Till next time.

SAL SUNDAY--THIS IS EMBARASSING

3 weeks seems to come around really fast. Unfortunately my stitchy bug seems to be either on vacation or being held hostage by my diamond painting bug. I did make a little progress this time. Not much but every stitch counts. Right. Last time was my page finish. I have moved the q snaps and this is where it is now.

I hope everyone else has had more progress than I have. Please check out the other members of the SAL. They are working on some amazing projects.

SAL UPDATE-MINI HAPPY DANCE

I have been busy since our last update. I not only got my page finish but I am now 50% on this project. I have stitched 18 of 36 pages. Happy Dance.

Here is where you last saw it.

And here it is now. I forgot to take a picture of just the page finish because I was so excited.

I have now moved over to the right so hope to have more progress next update.

We'll see how it goes since my stitchy bug has been absent since the page finish.

Please stop by and see what the other lovely ladies I am doing this SAL with are up to. They have some pretty amazing stitching to look at.

THERE HAS BEEN PROGRESS.

I was able to get some progress this time. This is The Universe in a Jar by Randal Spangler HAED.

Last time it was here

I was able to make good progress because now it is here.

I am this close to a page finish so hopefully next time.

Please be sure to stop by and visit the other members of this SAL. They are doing wonderful things with needle and thread.

Till next time happy stitching.

OLDIES TO BRING THE MOJO BACK

Lately I have been having trouble sticking to one project. I know you are shocked by this LOL. My mojo kept trying to run away. I think I have found the solution. I came across 2 old old old projects and guess what my mojo came running home.

I think I'll work on these for awhile to see what happens.

First is Santa of the Forest by Lavender and Lace

The second is The Four Seasons by Marjolein Bastin
