2023 ROTATION

Happy New Year everyone. These are my 15 draglings for 2023. They are in no particular order since my daughter shuffles the pile every 15 days. So far it seems to be working as I never know what I'll be stitching until I pull a box from the pile. I will be trying to post an update each day.

SAL UPDATE--NOPE

I did a few stitches but not worth showing. I got sidetracked planning my rotation for next year. Hopefully I will have a better update next time around.

I'm sure the other stitchers in the SAL have wonderful updates. Please check them out.

SAL TIME AGAIN--PROGRESS

I did make progress this time on the Cottage Garden Rug. What I thought was a pine cone is actually an aster of some sort.

Here is where it was last time

It has progressed a lot. I got a hair about whether the fabric was wide enough since this was started way back in 2003 so I went all the way across on the bottom row. It is wide enough. We just won't discuss the 3 inch border one side and the 2 inch border on the other side. LOL.

Here are progression photos.

Now I can work on the pretty flowers without worrying about fit.

I do this SAL with a group of very talented ladies. Please check out the wonderful stitching they do.

I hope everyone has lots of stitching time.

OOPS I MISSED A POST.

Sorry I didn't post last time but there was literally nothing to show. Not one stitch into The Astronomer. I can't seem to make myself pick it up. After a lot of thought I decided that the dark colors just weren't calling to me since it has been kind of gloomy and gray a lot of days now. So I decided I needed something with a lot of bright colors to entice me to stitch. The project that came up is a really old one. I think I started this one in 2007 or so. It can be both a rug or a cross stitch and I love it still so it has been getting some time.

Next time you see it there should be a pretty pine cone there.

I do this SAL  with a lot of  talented stitchers. Please make sure to stop by their blogs and see all the wonderful stitching they are doing.

SAL TIME AGAIN- CHANGE IS GOOD RIGHT

As the title suggests I am putting Chocolate away for awhile. Soooo much brown. LOL. I did make significant progress since the last update.

Here is where it was last time.

And here is where it is now.

There is a story behind the replacement stitching. It is the picture that got me addicted to HAED and full coverage stitching. I saw it way way back in 2010 and had to start it immediately. Of course others caught my eye and you know the story. It kept getting put aside for other things. It does get worked on periodically but some areas are so confetti heavy that I put it down again. Fast forward to yesterday. I buy my diamond paintings from Diamond Art Club and guess what they released yesterday. You guessed it.

So I had to get it and decided that the stitching has to be worked on at the same time. Wish me luck.
Here is my starting point for this round

TIME FOR ANOTHER SAL UPDATE

It's that time again and I have progress. The hour a day is working. Actually some days it is more like 2 or 3 hours and some days no hours but it all works out.

This is where you saw it last time.

Here is where it is now.

I am pleased with the progress and hope to make a lot more in September. We are doing SOLO SEPTEMBER  in a couple of groups. We pick a project and work on only it for the entire month. We'll see how it goes.

Please make sure to check in with the rest of the talented stitchers that I am doing this SAL with. Also welcome back MaryMargaret.

SAL TIME--I'M BACK

So glad to be rejoining the SAL. The break was just what I needed to sort out my issue with Chocolate Chocolate and More Chocolate. If you recall I was having issues with my fabric. Every time I picked it up there were new issues. Missing fabric threads, small holes etc. The fabric was disintegrating. I finally bit the bullet and even though I had a lot done I restarted it on a better piece of fabric. I am so much happier with it now and have made a good restart. Since other projects are also calling me I have come up with a plan (we'll see how this goes LOL). One of the floss tubers I watch does what she calls Daily 30 with her focus piece. She does 30 minutes on it everyday before other stitching. I have decided to do Daily 60 on Chocolate. Hopefully that will give me more good progress.

Here is where it was when I restarted on July 19.

And here is where it is now.

I may try to save the long column on the original but haven't really decided how yet.

I do this SAL with a group of very talented stitchers who are working on a variety of amazing projects.

Please check out their projects.

HALLOWEEN IN JULY-DAYS 3, 4 & 5.

 Day 3 was Black Cat.

There has been good progress on him.

On day 4 I realized I didn't have a diamond painting in my rotation so I kitted this up and started it.

Day 5 is Witch Way.

So far it is going good.
