Singing the Blues

Today started early or should I say yesterday ended late. I stayed up until 1:30am trying to finish the blue on the curtain. Almost there but couldn't stay awake any longer was dozing with needle in hand. So off to bed I went & then I couldn't sleep. Finally dozed off around 3:30am only to have Elvira decide it was time for me to get up & play at 5:30am. I managed to stave her off until 7 but it was touch & go for awhile. She is very insistent. She even tried to get DH up which is harder than getting me up.
On the stitching front the evil blue curtain top is almost finished. I should be able to finish it in its next turn in the rotation.
I also need opinions & I know you all have them & aren't afraid to share them. On one of my yahoo groups
2muchxs@yahoogroups.com  we are going to be doing a SAL in support of Michelle @ HAED (she has been dealing with pirating issues). I just ordered 3 new charts & I need to decide which one to start on April 1st when the SAL begins. Opinions please. The candidates are as follows:
Village Bookstore
Travelers
Cooking by Candlelight

Without further ramblings here is last weeks progress on Computer Catastrophes.

I also couldn't close without a picture of one of the children. Brandi was keeping my stitching chair warm for me.

  2. I'm voting for the Village Bookstore as well as I'd love to see this one done instead of just a photo to see how it stitches up. It's on my wish list.

  3. I love all three designs but would love to see Cooking by Candlelight stitched up.

Congratulations on almost finishing the curtain

  4. Cindy, if it were me, I'd do Village Bookstore, with Travelers a very close second. I probably wouldn't choose Cooking by Candlelight right now, since you already have several Spangler draglet pieces going. Nice stitching on Computer Catastrophes and your dog is beautiful. Theresa

    Your stitching progress looks great.

And I love the "stitch a long" idea. Is this other group open to new members??

  12. I see that the Village Bookshop seems to gather most votes but I love Travelers so that is where my vote goes. I can't wait to see which you decide upon to start first. As to the curtain, I am always amazed to see how little x's of color turn into a beautiful picture.

  14. I'm with Librarystitcher and would love to see Travellers with Village bookshop a close second. Although I love the Spangler designs, as you have several of those going at present it might be nice for you to do something a little different as a change!

Well done on the progress this week on Computer Catastrophes!

  15. Brandi is beautiful! I am not a HAED follower, so I don't know what the other commentors are talking about when they mention Spangler, but my thought is that Cooking looks very similar to the Computer Catastrophes so, if it were me, I would choose the Village Bookstore because it is so different. And, for once in my life, I am going with the crowd!! LOL

  17. Your stitching looks good. As for which chart, I would pick Village Bookstore. I like the colors in that one.

  18. Since you are already stitching a Spangler dragon, I would eliminate Cooking by Candlelight. That way you will have more variety in your WIPs.

  19. Those are three wonderful choices! I'd choose the Village Bookstore.

  21. Hi

I vote for Village Bookstore too! I have it also but not sure I can handle 3 BAP's with QS Siberian Forest being a "need to get stitched this year" piece! I have been sitting on my hands not to kit up VB!

  27. I'd choose either Cooking by Candlelight or the Village Bookstore, but since you're already doing several Spanglers, I'd go with Village Bookstore. BTW, the curtains are coming along nicely.

  29. LOL, Cindy, she's too cute. Gotta love our furbabies!! I think you should start Village Bookstore. It's my fave of the three. I love it!!! Glad you're joining the SAL. I have five HAEDs in progress already, and three SALs, so I'm not joining it. I did join the April first Challenge though. Is that when you're starting your HAED? Good progress too. Keep up the good work!!
