PAGE FINISH

I have a page finish on The Universe in a Jar. Now there is only 1 more full page and 1 partial page and this row will be done. Please excuse the wavy picture. I couldn't take it in my usual place because the dog was sleeping there. I am really loving working on this one.

3 Week SAL Update

Wow. That time again already. Time just seems to be flying by. I have made some progress on The Universe in a Jar. Of course like everyone else not enough as far as I'm concerned but any progress is good. Hoping for much more by next update.
Here is where I was 3 weeks ago and where I am as of today.

Please stop by these blogs to check out the great stitching being done by my SAL mates.

 Merry Christmas to all.

Time for a SAL update

Good morning. I have been bad. I am so tired of stitching brown that I switched projects. Last time I was here I was working on Chocolate Chocolate and More Chocolate. As much as I love it I needed more color in my life so I switched to The Universe in a Jar. It is so nice to have all the beautiful colors to play with.
When I put CC&MC away it looked like this.
When I got TUIAJ out it looked like this. I have made a bit of progress but I'm too lazy to take it off the frame for a picture. Hope to have bunches done by next update.
I am really enjoying looking at everyone's progress. There are some great projects being stitched.

Check out the rest of the members and their wonderful projects here. We also have a new member. Welcome Helen.

See you in 3 weeks.

AND

I am all browned out. Haven't really been stitching much the past couple of weeks. Just a few stitches here and there. Then it hit me. I NEED SOME COLOR IN MY LIFE. So I have switched from CC&MC to The Universe in a Jar. It has been squealing lately and I figured out why. Haven't stitched on TUIAJ since 5/2014. Poor thing.
I will get back to CC&MC eventually but for now you will be seeing updates on TUIAJ.

I have recently joined a SAL with some really supportive and wonderful ladies. We post our progress every 3 weeks. Hoping that their support will motivate me to make significant progress on Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate which I would like to finish before June 2017. HAHA.
Here is where I was when I joined the SAL.

And here is where I am today. Not as much progress as I would like but I'll take it.

Yipee

I have found a stitching group here in Great Falls. Going for the first time today at 3pm. They meet every Thursday at Pam's Knit and Stitch which is just down the street from my house. I decided to take a more portable project than my HAED so Bhyr Deeze from Long Dog Samplers was elected to accompany me.

Page Finish

I have a double page finish on Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate. For some reason I didn't finish the last bit on page 15 when I worked on this last. Today I finished pages 15 and 16.

Now on to page 8.

Winter

I knew when I moved home what winter in  Montana was like. My best friend kept telling me that the winters haven't been bad for the last few years. Yeah right. It is Oct 11 and it has already snowed 3 times. Granted not much more than a dusting but it is really early for this to be happening. And it is snowing again today.
I am prepared though. I have all my stitching planned out and my daughter has assured me that she will do the outside errands if the weather is bad so I can hibernate.

I have been making progress on my cupcake. Much more fun than the stack of Oreos.

I also received a new chart as an anniversary(41 years) from my DH. Halloween is my favorite holiday & I fell in love with this when I saw it. Didn't hurt that it was on sale.

Time to sign off and stitch now but can't leave without a picture of my stitching buddy Elvira. She works so hard. LOL

Have a great day everyone.

Happy Fall

I am going to try to post more often now that I am retired and all moved to Mon
tana. Yeah right. I compose posts in my head but they never seem to get written.
Right now our weather is wet and gloomy. Supposed to rain all day so will be staying in and stitching. They are predicting snow above 4000ft. We are at 3300ft. October is really the start of winter in Montana even though the calendar says fall. Spring usually waits until sometime in May to arrive. Lots of quality stitching time coming up.
My daughter and I were supposed to go grocery shopping today but not happening in the rain. We have food so won't starve.

In have finally unpack some more stuff and put it in my craft room. All of my WIP's are now in one place.

I know I know. Way too many. I am working on them though. I have finished one and am will into stitching the next one. I seem to have changed from being a serial starter to being a one at a timer for now.
I had to move the q-snaps so I took a picture of Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate which is my current project.

I have finally finished the stack of Oreos on the current page. The rest will have to wait till I get back to that area. I plan of filling in the top spaces next.
I am really enjoying this one even though there is a lot of gold and brown. There is some color coming up soon.
I have also been having the urge  to crochet so my daughter's queen size granny square blanket will probably get some love soon now that the weather is cooler.

My son and his girlfriend came for a visit the end of August and we all went to Glacier Park. So beautiful there. Here are a few pics from that trip.

Pictures just do not do it justice.

Well I've rambled on for long enough now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week filled with stitching and love.

Cindy

Hello.

Well posting once a month kinda went by the wayside. Either haven't had time or haven't had the inclination.
2 big things have happened since my last post. We got safely moved back to Montana and are loving it. The other big thing is that I FINISHED TRAIN OF DREAMS. Yeah. I actually finished it on my birthday the end of July. It isn't framed yet because I have to save up for that. Hopefully I will be able to frame it by next year.(LOL).
I am now working on Chocolate Chocolate and More Chocolate. This is also a Randal Spangler by HAED. I am stitching this one for my oldest daughter and since she is hopefully coming for a visit by June or July of 2017 I hope to have it finished by the time she comes so she can take it home with her.

Since we have been back in Montana we have been getting out and doing more than we ever did in Massachusetts. We have been to a couple of lectures on bears (very informative), taken a couple of trips back to my hometown of Fort Benton, visited my cousin in Kalispell, visited Glacier Park, and gone on a boat tour of Gates of the Mountains. Busy busy busy.

My son Matt and his girlfriend Steph came to spend a week with us and went to Glacier Park and Kalispell with us. So good to see them. Too short a visit though.

Weather here is starting to turn to fall and the mornings are crisp and the sky is usually a beautiful blue. We have had some chilly days and also a small frost last week. I love fall so this weather is fine with me. Time to plan my hibernation for the winter with my stitching.

I have also been getting the urge to bake lately. Don't know where that came from as I like to cook more than I like to bake. My husband and daughter don't object though.

Well I have rambled on long enough. I will try to do better about posting.

I leave you with some pics from Gates of the Mountains.

Hear Ye Hear Ye Read All About It

I have finished another page on Train of Dreams. I have now completed the bottom of the designs. I have 3 full pages and one tiny little bit of a page to finish on the top and it will be completely done. Still hoping to make my deadline.

Till next time hope everyone stays safe & warm.

SNOW

Winter has finally come to New England. Snowing today. They say we should get 4-6 inches. Wet heavy snow. Great for snowballs and heart attacks.
Since I got all my errands done earlier in the week ie: groceries, prescriptions etc I don't have to go out in it.
What better way to spend a snowy yucky Friday and weekend than stitching, stitching & more stitching. I have been making good progress this week. I am now stitching the tea cup.

And I'm Back

Good morning. It is Feb 1, 2016 and I have decided to update my blog. This time I am going to attempt to update on the 1st of each month if not more often.
Lots going on here.
I am still working on Train of Dreams but now I have a deadline. In May we are moving back to my hometown of Great Falls Mt. The girls in my stitch group told me I have to have Train of Dreams finished before I leave since they have been seeing it every month for a long time.
I think I can finish it. I only have a half page on the bottom and 3 full pages on the top. Just have to fit stitching in around packing and purging for the big move. More on the move in another post.
This is progress so far on Train and also my January ort jar.
