PROGRESS

I have been making good progress on the Welted Cowl I am knitting for my son's girlfriend. She will be here the middle of June so I need to get going and get it finished. I am a little over half way.

My stitchy bug has returned and I am working on Play Ball  Randal Spangler HAED. This one is for my son who is a huge baseball fan.

Off to stitch now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

A PRESENT

Wow. Another post so soon. What am I going to bore you with today. LOL.

My husband Jim knows me so well. He bought me this coffee mug for Mother's Day. My favorite color and everything. See men do pay attention sometimes.

I also made some progress on The Astronomer yesterday. Slow but steady.

Last week my oldest daughter Sabrina sent me the best needle minders ever. My grand puppy Harley.

And last but not least I am knitting a cowl for my son's girlfriend Steph. Progress so far. Love how the colors are distributing.

Okay. I'll let you go now that you are sufficiently bored.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN--SAL UPDATE

My stitchy bug still seems to be on vacation. He has popped in occasionally so a very little bit of progress was made. I changed projects because I thought maybe he was bored with the other one. I am now working on The Astronomer by Myles Pinkney (HAED). It is the one that began my obsession with HAED charts. I feel guilty till this month I have not touched him since 2014. (see previous blog post)

Here is what he will look like when finished.

Here is what has been done so far on the entire piece.

Where I started this time around

And the minuscule amount of progress I have made.

Hopefully I will have more progress to show in 3 weeks.

If you really want to be inspired by some beautiful stitching check out the blogs of my fellow SAL members and if you would like to join us you can contact Avis for details.

BAD CINDY

I was doing so good stitching and blogging everyday. Then I fell off the wagon. My stitchy bug decided to take a vacation (I think he was a little miffed because I was also knitting & crocheting). He seems to be back but demanded that I switch projects. Okay with me.

I decided to work on The Astronomer by Myles Pinkney. This is the project that started my obsession with HAED charts. I started it on 2/13/10 and worked on it for awhile until another one caught my eye and I had to start it also. You know where this story is going. He kept getting put away and then taken out for a short while then put away again. Looking at my notebook I keep for this project( each project has their own notebook) I haven't a stitch in to the poor thing since 6/16/14. I feel so guilty for ignoring him for so long. He is out now and I plan on doing a marathon on him. Here is my starting point today and an overall picture of progress. Please excuse all the wrinkles. Apparently the last time he was out I was in a hurry and didn't fold him properly.

Almost forgot this picture. What it will look like when done.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow

SAL UPDATE AND OTHER THINGS.

It really doesn't seem like it has been 3 weeks since the last update. Unfortunately not much progress has been made. It seems that my crochet bug and my knitting bug ganged up on the poor stitchy bug and he ran away from home.
I did make a little progress on The Universe in a Jar.
Here is last time.

This time

This is a closeup of where I was working

There are a lot of talented stitchers taking part in this SAL. Please stop by and check out their updates also. If you are interested in joining us please contact Avis to get the details.

As the title says there are other things I have been working on recently.

I finished my daughters huge granny square afghan. Yay.

I am also taking a knitting class and finished 2 dishcloths and started another (no picture of start yet).

I gifted the dishcloths to my best friends mother who can no longer knit but she admired them while I was knitting them.

My crochet bug also started yelling that since I had finished the afghan I needed to start another one so this happened.

I am using my own colors to use up some of my yarn so that I have room for more. Simple half double crochet so easy peasy.

I also started knitting a cowl for my daughter. Hopefully I will have enough progress on the cowl for my next post.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

VACATIOIN

Apparently my stitchy bug has decided to take a vacation. Hasn't been seen since last week.

That's okay though because the knitting and crocheting bugs are here to keep me company.

This week I finished my daughter's huge granny square afghan. Boy was I glad to see the last of that. LOL.

I also finished 2 dishcloths that I started in my knitting class.

I have also started a cowl for my daughter and will be doing 2 more dishcloths with different patterns for my knitting class.

Actually the weather is very conducive to these activities. Cool and raining. Good weather to stay in and knit.

Off to knit now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

BACK ON TRACK

Had a better stitching day yesterday. Actually have progress to show. Today is a stitching day also. Husband is napping, all of my chores are done and dinner is planned.
Also a sunny but cold day. The snow should go away soon.

I did 211 stitches yesterday.

Here is today's starting point.

I also found this on FB yesterday and it pretty much describes me right now.

MISSED A DAY

Didn't put in any stitches yesterday. I did do 106 stitches on Friday.

Yesterday I left my stitching home when I went to stitch group and took my knitting and crocheting instead. And I had two starts and 2 finishes yesterday. My daughter snagged the bottom one and it disappeared almost before I could snap a picture.

Not much but they were fun to do. I plan on making more of them. Good way to use up my Sugar and Cream cotton.

I will stitch today. Really missed it yesterday even though I wasn't feeling it. Does that make sense?

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

NOT MUCH

Progress yesterday. Only 37 stitches but what the hey it's 37 I don't have to do today. I ended up taking my knitting to stitch group as I needed some help and also it is more portable.

The art reception was fun and I met some very talented artists. Tonight is the First Friday Art Walk which happens the first Friday of every month. Artists display their work at several locations and people go from place to place to view the art.
I will be going to sit with my friend Sandy who displaying her her art. I will be taking my knitting here also to keep my hands busy.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

GOT SOME DONE

I actually got a good amount done yesterday considering how tired I was. 144 stitches total.

Today is stitch group so we shall see. Then after stitch group I am going to an Art reception at the library. My best friend will be exhibiting her art there all month.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

WASN'T SURE

If I was going to stitch today. Today was the monthly grocery shopping at Walmart. This really exhausts me. Jessica goes with me to do the lifting and carrying but just walking up and down the aisles and checking out is tiring for me. Most of the groceries are put away. Just some dry goods and canned goods to go but doing it a little at a time. Already informed husband that dinner is going to be simple.

Now that I have rested for a bit I will be stitching. I did 154 stitches yesterday. We'll see if I can match that today.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow

AND STITCHING I WILL GO

Housework is done. Meat thawing for supper. Husband asleep. Cold out but sun is shining. Snow on the ground. I think I will stitch now.

I did 215 stitches yesterday. I'm getting back into my groove.

Here is today's starting point and yes I did get to stitch something other than blue yesterday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

SNOWING

Told you winter wasn't over here. Snow showers today and possibly tomorrow.

Did get 150 stitches done yesterday. Hopefully more today.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

NO STITCHING PER SEY

This happened instead. I am getting ready for my knitting class so I thought I would practice my skills that I already have. Hopefully this will be a scarf for my daughter.

It is also TUSAL time. This is my jar for March.

To be truthful I did do 25 stitches yesterday but not enough to take a picture of.

I will be knitting again today at stitch group but maybe some stitching when I get home.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

AND THERE IS MORE BLUE

Moving on the next page the first part up is blue confetti. I'm not complaining though as I love filling in the little spaces. Makes me sure I am making progress.

Yesterday was stitch group so you guessed it low stitch count. Really need to learn to stitch and chat at the same time.  Total for yesterday was 167. Should be a better count today because I have nothing to do but stitch. Cool and gray outside so not going out anywhere.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day

AND

Guess what happened at 1am this morning. You guessed it . I got a page finish. This page took me 32 days. Not bad if I do say so myself. I have now done 7 full pages and 6 partial pages. Now to decide if I go up another page or to the right.

It was a total of 527 stitches to finish the page.

The consensus on FB is that I should go to the right. So here is today's starting point.

Off to stitch group in a bit. We'll see how much progress I make. LOL.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

GLOOMY

So woke up this morning to a gray and gloomy day. Supposed to rain today and tomorrow. I'll take that over snow.

Yesterday I got closer to my page finish. I did 218 stitches so not many more to go. I should make my goal of a page finish by Friday.

One good thing about gray and gloomy. It's a good day to stay in and stitch.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

SILLY ME

You would think I would know better at my age. Stayed up till 2am watching movies last night. Then woke up at my regular time today so am operating on about 5 1/2 hours sleep.

I did 300 stitches yesterday. Filled in a lot of confetti and did some more blue.

Here is today's starting point.

I am also going to try for a page finish by Friday. Do you think I can make it? Approximately 500 stitches left.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

SOME DAYS

Some days are just better than others for stitching. Sunday seems to have been a good day for me. I did 408 stitches.

Total for last week is 2,067 stitches. I'll take it.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

GOOD MORNING

The sun is shining and I have all my chores done. Quick post here and then I am going to stitch the day away.

Had a great time at stitch group yesterday. (Forgot to post a starting photo yesterday).

On Friday I did 235 stitches and on Saturday 240. Not bad.

Here was what it looked like just before stitch group.

And here is today's starting point. I filled in some confetti and started that pretty pink on the right. Needed a break from blue and confetti.

I was also a bad girl at stitch group yesterday. I seem to have restarted my yarn addiction. I am taking a refresher knitting class in April so of course I needed these. And the book for my class.

The new owners at the LNS/LYS are baaaaad. They keep bringing in new stuff that we just can't resist. These had us ROTFL. They are so funny. I brought home 2.

This is the inside of the 2nd card.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.
