SAL TIME AGAIN

I actually have something to post this time. Since the last update I have switched projects AGAIN. Must be stitchers ADD. I am now working on my oldest WIP- The Astronomer by Myles Pinkney charted by HAED. I started this one in 2010 and it was the start of my obsession with HAED and other full cover designers. Time to give it some love. I have joined a couple of SAL's on FB and hope to get the motivation I need to continue with this one. On the other had I am also hosting a Jan New Start SAL on one of my FB groups (as it I don't have enough started.)
My goal in January is to stitch on The Astronomer Mon-Fri and my new start Coming to Room on Sat-Sun. Hopefully will make some progress on both.
I also have not quit knitting. I find I get more done if I stitch during the day and knit at night. Hey it keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. Although with temps ranging from-18F to -6F during the day I don't go out much.
Okay enough of my blathering. Here is what you have come to see.

The Astronomer picked up again on 12/11/17.

and now

My new start for Jan 1 is called Coming to Room

We'll see how well I do in keeping to the plan.

Don't forget to check out all the other wonderful stitching being done by my partners in this SAL.

Till next time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

OOOPSY SAL TIME AGAIN

I just realized that I totally forgot to post for the last SAL. Actually nothing really to post because knitting has taken over my life. I actually have been stitching during the day for the past week. I dragged out a WIP and it has held my interest so far for a few hours a day.
This is where I started this time:

And this is where I am today.

It is helpful to see progress like this as just looking at it in my lap doesn't seem to be as much.

Check out the other talented stitchers who take part in this SAL and who are much more disciplined than I am as they seem to be able to stick to one project. LOL

SAL TIME AND OTHER THINGS

I actually made some progress on Brandi's project since the last update. Not much but some. Seems now that it is getting cold here my knitting is pushing everything else aside.
Here is where it was last time.

And here it is now.

I seem to be more motivated when I see all the wonderful things my SAL mates are stitching. Hop on over and see what these talented stitchers are working on.

SAL TIME ALREADY

Unfortunately I have not put a stitch into Brandi's project since the last update. My knitting bug made an appearance and that was the end of stitching. I am feeling the urge to stitch again so hopefully will have an update next time.

Make sure you go check out the wonderful projects my SAL mates are stitching.

SAL UPDATE.

Wow it's time for another update already. Is it just me or has time sped up lately?

I have been doing some stitching on Brandi's Project.  Last time it looked like this

Now it looks like this.

And the total progress so far is

Hopefully I will get some more done buy the next update but not counting on it. Seems like when September started and the weather got cooler all I want to do is knit. We shall see.

There are a bunch of talented people doing this SAL and they are working on some amazing projects. Also want to say hello to Jackie who has recently joined us. Stop by and see what they are all working on.

TIME FOR ANOTHER SAL UPDATE.

As you all know I have been flitting from project to project lately unable to settle on any one piece.

I have finally settled on a project that I will be working on until it is finished.

Last week we lost our fur baby Brandi. She was our constant companion for 12 1/2 years so it has been hard.

When she passed I was working on this project and almost put it away. Then I realized I had to finish it for her. She loved chocolate so it seemed appropriate. When done I will put her name on it. I am now calling this one Brandi's Project.

SK History of Chocolate.  Randal Spangler  HAED.

Here is where I am right now.

Check out what everyone else is working on. There are some very talented stitchers in our group.

SAL UPDATE.

I am a bad contributor to the SAL this time. No progress at all on my SAL project. I got sidetracked by my Daily UFO Project and all my stitching time has been focused on that. Hopefully I will have something next time. Cottage Garden still looks like this.

There are a lot of very talented stitchers taking part in this SAL including our 2 newest members Heidi and Connie. Check out their progress using the links below.

DAY 20 ON DAILY UFO PROJECT

Just piddling along on yesterday's project. Couldn't get excited about it. Oh well all stitches count no matter how few.

Hopefully better progress on today's project.
