TUSAL and an Epiphany

Cold and rainy here today & my energy level matches the weather. Probably wouldn't be so tired if I hadn't stayed out past midnight last night. It was a good time though. Yesterday was the 12 hour Stitchin at my LNS. Of course we always stay much later & then I have a 40 mile drive home. Well worth it though. We stitch,we eat, we stash,we go out to dinner & then we stitch & stash somemore. I was pretty good about the stashing part. I only picked up 6 small JBW designs

I also took some pics at the Stitchin. The ladies were all very busy. Here are a few of the projects being worked on.

Sorry, but blogger will not let me put the pictures across.
It is also TUSAL & I am a day late as usual. You can see all the black & blue I was complaining about in my last post. This is my TUSAL so far this year. If I keep stitching as much as I have been I will need a new container before December.

I'm not done yet. I did a week on Sundae Delight last week. Made good progress. Was so good to stitch with the yellow.

I have resurrected my rotation so this week I will be stitching on Afternoon Tea by Randal Spangler. HAED.

Oh & I mentioned an epiphany. Jim decided after 800 stitches that I was right (should there have been any doubt). He has started Echo of the Buffalo by Teri Rosario over. This time he is stitching 2 over 2. I keep telling him he should listen to me. It would have saved him a lot of work.

Have a great week everyone

  1. Cindy, you're so lucky to have a good stitching group. I used to go to one at an LNS that has since closed and really enjoyed it. As for your husband, you'd think by now that he'd know your suggestions are right at least 99.99% of the time. Did he think this was the 0.01% when he should ignore your advice? LOL, just kidding! 3. Great work on Sundae Delight. Yeah for your hubby stitchin, mine would only stitch if you could use wrenches or screwdrivers...lol!!! But he loves to see what I stitch. Glad you have such a good time at your LNS group stitch. We don't have any LNS's near us here. Thanks for the updates!

  7. Such beautiful projects being worked on by everyone! Sundae Delight is really coming along, congratulations. And duh...doesn't every husband know he should listen to his wife right from the beginning :)

  8. loved seeing all the projects the other people in the stitching group were working on. Very enjoyable. I use a small pint mason jar for my thread trash but I dump it out a lot. It is just easier to drop the threads into a jar then to reach over and put them into baggies. I am sort of sad to hear that Jim has started his over. I found his 1 over 1 efforts quite inspiring but whatever is more comfortable for him is what he should do. I look forward seeing his new progress.

  12. Cindy for some reason men find it difficult to listen to their wives. Your stash is making my credit card nervous. It's so nice to get together with fellow stitchers

  13. I love JBW designs too and have been collecting the 'French Country' designs slowly. What's a few dollars here and there - really?
Lucky you to have group AND a hubby to stitch with. Love the diverse projects they are working on... and Yeay Jim to have tried the 2 over 1 on 25 but also to not be too proud to defer to the over 2 option. I expect we will see speedy progress from now on :)

  15. That sounds like a great weekend, and nice pieces! I always pick those up at my LNS too, although most of the time I put them down again. :) Glad that Jim finally realized you were right!

  16. like the variety of work, especially the lady, like the stash, must be a challenge to work with yellow or any color for a while....see why you rotate....

  18. Sounds like you have a fabulous stitching group there - everyone is stitching great projects! Aren't the JBW designs so cute! I always have hassles choosing floss colours to stitch them in though :)

Sundae Delight is coming along nicely :)

  21. LOL, at you saying I told you so!! I would have done it too, and I would have soooooo enjoyed being right. Everything looks great from the stitch in. I would love to do that here, but my LNS doesn't have much room. As for the stitching, I love the angel stocking. It's lovely! I'm glad you had a great time, and oh, grats on the new acquisitions too.
