It's another BLOG HOP

Do you set stitching goals for yourself and how do you plan them out? (Weekly, monthly, annually?) What are your current stitching goals (if you don’t mind sharing)?
In addition to setting goals for yourself, do you have a special reward that you reserve for when you reach a stitching goal?

I don't really set stitching goals for myself as I am notoriously bad at meeting deadlines. This is also why I do not participate in exchanges and such. I do like to see progress on my stitching though so I will say to myself "Self, you need to finish this section today or you can take a break when this section is done."  That usually works for me. I stitch more for the pleasure of the journey & could really not care if I finish anything so goals are not a big deal to me.

  1. I thought I was the only one who talks to myself, ..... "can't buy this until you finish one of your WIP"....LOL

  3. I just noticed that the goals I make for myself are to "make progress on my stitching". Sewing has the real actual goals. Probably because I view sewing as a chore and stitching as a fun thing.

And my "Self" always disobeys me anyway!

  4. LOL, Cindy, I'm the same way about enjoying the journey. I'll get it finished eventually, unless I die first. So it's all good!

  5. I talk to myself constantly - I live in a house full of boys and men so who else is going to listen? LOL

I used to participate in exchanges and round robins often, but over the past few years I had to stop because I wasn't able to meet the deadlines and it was getting stressful instead of fun.

  6. Sing it, sister! I don't care if I ever get another finish either - I love every piece I stitch so the work is its own reward.
