Recovery & Progress

What a beautiful day today. After a week of gray skies & rain yesterday & today are beautiful. Bright sunshine & 80 degrees with a slight breeze. I spent most of the day yesterday on the front porch with my stitching. Love being able to sit outside & stitch. I made great progress on Midieval Shelf the past two weeks but now it is time to put it away & give some love to the piece that started my obsession with HAED.  I haven't touched The Astronomer by Myles Pinkney since Dec 10,2011. A whole 5 months. Shame on me. In my defense it is confetti heavy but for the next couple of weeks it will get my undivided attention.
I am beginning to feel better. Now I just need to build up my stamina. I am out of work for 2 more weeks so hope recovery continues.
Jim didn't stitch again this past week but he does have a finish. When our kids were small we had a Volkswagon camper van. Lego has come out with one so of course Jim had to build it. I am amazed at the detail in the piece.
This post is picture heavy so enjoy.

First up is Midieval Shelf

Next is The Astronomer

Last but not least is the Lego Volkswagon Camper Van

Until next week Happy Stitching.

  3. Hi Cindy - make the most of the rest of your time off! Once you go back to work stitching time is a rare treat (at least it is for me!) Love Jim's camper van! Hugs, Ally xx

  5. Loving the stitching, I have to admit, my current project is confetti heavy and I need to be able to concentrate fully on it, instead of picking it up with a heavy heart. Our youngest daughter loves lego and if she saw Jim's one she would be so envious. We now came back from away and we saw a couple of the old campers on the site and I would love to purchase one and do it up but even camper wrecks over here are a fortune to purchase.

  11. I'm glad you are feeling better Cindy & I agree there is nothing better than sitting in the sun when one is stitching. I admire your stitching, it seems very detailed from the photos. I would definitely find the confetti stitching quite taxing. The colours look wonderful.
Your husbands' Lego building is great. What a fabulous piece.

  16. Wow, awesome progress by both of you. I love the lego van. It's darling. (It makes me wonder if I would have the patience to build it, lol. I'm very patient with some things, like stitching and children, but impatient with almost everything else!!!) And you got really great progress on your WIP. MS looks great. Grats to both of you, Cindy!
