I did make progress this time on the Cottage Garden Rug. What I thought was a pine cone is actually an aster of some sort.
Here is where it was last time
It has progressed a lot. I got a hair about whether the fabric was wide enough since this was started way back in 2003 so I went all the way across on the bottom row. It is wide enough. We just won't discuss the 3 inch border one side and the 2 inch border on the other side. LOL.
Here are progression photos.
Now I can work on the pretty flowers without worrying about fit.
I do this SAL with a group of very talented ladies. Please check out the wonderful stitching they do.
I hope everyone has lots of stitching time.
good idea to stitch the base line to make counting easier!
ReplyDeleteEspecially when there is so much background.
DeleteYou have made a lot of progress. That flower is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteBeautiful progress. I'm pleased it fits LOL. I think your flower looks like an echinacea purpurea ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think they are very pretty.
DeleteThose are very pretty flowers! Excellent progress this round! Kathy R.
ReplyDeleteThey are and fun to work on also
DeleteFabulous progress on this :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good. THe uneven border areas will work themselves out.. It's easier to hide in matting or even in plain framing. Enjoy your piece.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I always measure my projects like that. Then laugh so many years later. Oops. Glad it fits.
