LAST SAL UPDATE FOR 2018

Wow did this year go fast. Seems like it was just January a few days ago. I am prepared for 2019 I think:

I have decided on my 2019 rotation. I have 3 focus pieces that will be stitched on every other month as they are for my kids. The Universe in a Jar, Play Ball and Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate. Also every Saturday will be Hawk Run Hollow SAL we are doing at my LNS.
Jan: Sundae Delight.
Feb: Play Ball.
March: Computer Catastrophes.
April: Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate.
May: Afternoon Tea
June: The Universe in a Jar
July: Reading by Firefly Light.
August: Play Ball.
Sept: Boo
Oct: Chocolate Chocolate & More Chocolate.
Nov: Astronomer
Dec: The Universe in a Jar.

What is everyone else planning for stitching in 2019?

As for my SAL update. I got quite a bit of stitching done this month. I even had a page finish.

Last time we got together it looked like this.

Now it looks like this and is being put away because I'm tired of it for now so am starting my January piece a little early.

Next time we get together in January this is the piece you will see.
Sundae Delight  HAED. Randal Spangler.(I seem to be addicted to his art)

Please go to see what the other talented stitchers are doing for the SAL.

Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Catherine, Deborah, Connie, Clare

Till next time

  1. Great progress! I plan on using the Decision Roulette app to pick out my weekly wips to work on. I plan on joining in the #veryprairieyearsal on instagram where we work on a prairie schooler every month. I'm also looking forward to more quilting in 2019 too :) Merry Christmas!

  2. Wow, it looks like you did a lot this time around even if you did put the main project away early. I hope you can keep up with your stitching goals for 2019, they sound ambitious. In the meantime, have a happy Christmas and a peaceful start to the new year!

  3. You've got lots of progress again this time. All your projects are so colourful. It's a joy to watch them grow. Seems like you have a plan for the year ahead. I prefer not to plan as I'd find it hard to stick to. I would like to get the last two quilt tops made into quilts quite soon though. Happy Christmas!

  4. So many projects, I hope you manage to make good progress on all of them ! I used to have 4-5 WIPS and in the end I got frustrated of never finishing anything. One project at a time can get boring but I just take breaks with card sized projects or a second large project. Good luck with all of that and Merry Christmas !!

  5. I admire anyone who can work on multiple projects, I'm much too linear-minded to manage that. You have a great line up for the year, and there'll be plenty to show :-)
Happy Christmas to you and yours.

  7. I love your line-up for 2019 -- it's smart to give yourself breaks from the big projects you work on! I'm going to try to stick with my Swans until I can make up the cushion ... hopefully in 2019!!

  10. Beautiful progress! I completely understand your love of all things Spangler. He is a brilliant artist and his work translates so well to cross stitch.
Have a Happy New Year, enjoy your celebrations on matter what you get up to.
